B.C.’s unemployment rate is still lower than the national average according to Stats Canada.
It sits at 6.6% compared to the country rate of 7.3% and Labour Division Analyst, Vince Ferrao states the province is doing better than the rest of Canada in one area.
“Employment on a year over year basis grew by 68,800 or 3% in February compared to the same point a year ago and the rate of growth is faster than all provinces.”
The jobless rate in Prince George is 5.8%.
